After watching the famous Bollywood movie- Zindagi Na Milegi Doobara , I so much fantasised about visiting this place and wanted to explore every place shown in the film. This city became famous mainly due to TOMATINA festival or La Tomatina which takes place every year at a place known as Buñol, almost 45 minutes away from the central city of Valencia. I booked my tickets to this festival Viator, and everything was well coordinated by the company only. My bus was scheduled around 6.00a.m. This festival is held on last Friday of August every year, and people start coming here as early as 8.00 a.m. you will find everyone in the most casual and funky look. I was also the part of the crowd and enjoyed my first experience of this exotic place beautifully. Millions of tons of tomatoes are released from the backs of trucks, and this is repeated after every 20 minutes, and everybody just jumps into the slush. When the sun is about to set, there was a provision of pipes all over to clean up yourself. Also, it was so sweet to see the gesture of the local people that they allow you to use their rooms to change and also provide pipes on the streets to clean up yourself.

Another attraction was the grand feast of San Fermin in the city of Pamplona. This festival dates back to the 3rd century and is related to the christening ceremony Saint Fermin, and he returned to Pamplona as the first bishop. Later, he was beheaded, and several myths and beliefs are related to this story. This feast is clubbed with the running of bulls because Fermin was tied to a bull by his feet and dragged to death. I know too much to share, but I am here to describe my visit to the beautiful place.

This festival is well known internationally, and the bulls are lead through the streets of the old quarter as far as the bull ring by runners. Though, the religious aspect has lost its importance over the period, so we were all here to celebrate the Joy part of it.

You can’t afford to miss the one of the famous and most important Wine Bottle of Haro festival which involves wine drinking competition which gets started around 9.00 a.m. people are dressed in white with red scarf and carry the apt utensil in which they can carry wine. Everyone was is so happy here and they were found sprinkling wine on each other. It was good to be here and experience all this in a short visit.
